ברכה לתש"ע


חז"ל מתארים את ראש השנה כיום בו "כל באי עולם עוברים לפניו כבני מרון"

אולי משפט זה בא להזכיר לנו שאכן 'באנו' לעולם שכבר היה שם לפנינו,

ואנחנו 'עוברים' בו דרך מעברים שונים, חלקם צרים ותלולים כ"מעלות בית מרון".

אולי עלינו להשכיל בעברֵנו במעברים, למצוא את המקומות בהם אנחנו רוצים לשהות, ולקחת אותם איתנו בהמשך הדרך.

אנו מאחלים לכם שנה נפלאה, שלֵוה ומתוקה של צמיחה, יצירה, אהבה ואושר.



Dear Family and Friends,

Our Sages describe Rosh HaShana as a day on which: "all mankind pass before him like children of Maron" and one of the Sages in the Talmud interprets it " As [in] the ascent of Beit Maron.

Mankind stands for "Bae Olam",

literally: these who "came to the world".

So, maybe this is supposed to remind us that we came to a world that has been there before we arrived and we are "passing" through different passages, some of them are narrow and steep like the ascent of Beit Maron.

Maybe while going through these passages, we should find the 'places' we like and take them with us in our journey.

We wish you a wonderful, peaceful and sweet year of creativity, growth, love and happiness.

Entering the Land: a Moral Challenge

"Vehaya Ki Tavo el Haaretz"-When you come to the land that God your Lord is giving you as a heritage, occupying and settling it...

These words spoken by Moshe, knowing that he won't be among those who enter the "Promised Land" sound sad.

On the other side, he also knew that the situation of ruling your own land ans society may - and generally does - arouse a feeling of hybris and therefore some admonitions about welfare and social justice, based on the principle that we aren't the owners of the Land follow this initial words.

Maybe the challenge of "entering the Land" and ruling all aspects of our own society is relevant to all generations who enter the land after being in the desert.
