ספירה והתבוננות

ספירת הימים בין פסח לשבועות – ספירת העומר – היא ביטוי לאופי התהליכי של השחרור. תופעות הטבע הן מחזוריות; יש בהן עליות, ירידות ולא מעט אי-וודאות, אך אם למרות המחזוריות, המגמה היא בכיוון "עליה", מתאפשרת צמיחה. ספירת הימים מעניקה לנו הזדמנות להתבונן בתהליכים אלו ולפתח מודעות ואחריות כלפיהם.

Counting the days between Pessach and Shavuot, the Omer, reflects the fact that , alike nature, liberation is a process, and sometimes, there are, at all levels, ups and downs, but as long as, even though cyclic, the direction is upwards and in a positive direction, that process reflects growth. Counting the days gives us the opportunity of acknowledging that process in a more responsible and conscious way.
