בצל אל

המשכן עוצב ונבנה על-ידי בצלאל. חכמים דרשו את שמו ומתארים אותו כמי שנמצא בצל "אל". אולי תכונה זו מבטאת את יכולתו להבין "מדעתו" באמצעות הדמיון, האינטואיציה והחשיבה העמוקה איך להתמודד עם סוגיות מורכבות, בלי לקבל הנחיות מדויקות. יש בעצמאות זו סיכון מסוים, מכיוון שהתמודדות עם אי-וודאות מצריכה רמה גבוה ביותר של בשלות ואומץ, אבל אולי זה מה שגם נחוץ לנו היום כדי לבנות מרחב מקודש המתאים לכולנו.

The name of the architect and constructor of the Temporary Sanctuary (Mishkan) was Betzalel. Our sages "deconstructed" his name and somehow described him as being "Betzel El", "In the Shade of G-d". Maybe this quality reflects the ability to understand through imagination, logical thinking and intuition, how to deal with complex issues, without being guided specifically. There certainly are some risks involved, as coping with uncertainty requires a high level of maturity and courage.
