לבני משפחתנו, חברותינו וחברינו היקרים,
האם אחי יוסף עברו טרנספורמציה?
לכאורה, ראינו בשבוע שעבר שליהודה היה אומץ להתעמת עם יוסף בעניין בנימין, אך איננו יודעים אם הוא היה מסוגל לעשות את זה, אם היה יודע שמי שעומד לפניו הוא יוסף, אותו הציע למכור.
אחרי מות יעקב אביהם, הם חששו שיוסף יתנקם בהם, לעומת יוסף המדבר איתם בצורה מפויסת, יוסף, כיחיד, עבר אולי טרספורמציה אמיתית.
אולי בא הדבר ללמדנו שלקבוצה, לקולקטיב, יש דפוסים המקשים על שינוי ועל שחרור מרגשי אשמה החוסמים כל התקרבות של ממש.

Dear Family and Friends,
Two concepts are used by Jaacov when he asks his son Joseph to burry him in the land of his Fathers, and not in Egypt; "Hessed" and "Emeth".
Should these notions be translated as "kindness" and "truth"? Or, is 'Emeth" faithfulness?
Actually, this linguistic dilemma raises a more meaningful question: Hessed seems to be something that you are not forced to do, and Emeth sound like something you can rely upon. So, is Emeth in contradiction with Hessed? Or is it a complementary attribute? Can a society, a world, rely on kindness as such, or will it be possible some day?.
