This Shabbat, between Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur, is named Shabbat "Shuva" after the initial word of the Haphtarah we'll read tomorrow.
"Shuva" means: Come back, return.
This probably assumes that once we were in a place worthwhile returning to and that the possibility of going back to the option of authenticity always exists.
Isn't that a statement of hope and optimism?
Shabbat Shalom to all.
