פרשת חיי שרה כתיקון

ואולי, פרשת חיי שרה היא מעין תיקון לפרשת וירא, בה קראנו על סדום, גירוש ישמעאל ועקידת יצחק.

בסוף הפרשה, אנו פוגשים את יצחק שע"פ המדרש מחזיר את הגר-קטורה לאברהם אביו ובנוסף, יחד עם ישמעאל הוא קובר את אביו. יש כאן מעין התפייסות כללית. האם שרה היתה צריכה למות כדי שזה יקרה?

Maybe the Torah section we'll read tomorrow is a "corrective experience" of what happened last week; the destruction of Sedom, the banishment of Hagar and Yishmael and the Akeda.

At the end of Haye Sarah, we'll meet Yitzhak at "Beer laHay Roei", where according to the Midrash, he broght Hagar-Keturah back to his father and afterwards, he and Yishmael buried Avraham together.

This seems to be a total reconciliation. Could that happen if Sarah didn’t die?
