להבחין בין הקולות

נקרא מחר על שלושה אירועים קשים ; הפיכת סדום , גירוש ישמעאל ועקדת יצחק.

כאשר האל גילה לאברהם שסדום תהרס, בניגוד לנח שקיבל בהכנעה את גזרת

המבול, הוא התווכח ואמר: השופט כל הארץ לא יעשה משפט!

לעומת זאת, כאשר נאמר לו לגרש את ישמעאל ולעקוד את יצחק , הוא לא התווכח,

אלא ,ביצע את מה שחווה כצו אלוהי ללא עוררין. האם זה מלמד אותנו משהו על

האחריות שיש לנו להקשיב בצורה רגישה לקולות המגיעים אלו, כדי להבחין בין

קול אלוהי שבא לנסות אותנו לבין קול אלוהי התואם את מצפוננו?

Dear Family and Friends,

Tomorrow we'll read about 3 very tragic stories; the destruction of Sedom, the expulsion of Yishmael and Akedat Yitzhak.

When G!d announced Abraham that Sedom will be destroyed, he argued and said: "Shall the whole world's Judge not act justly?!"

But, when he heard G!d telling him to listen to Sarah and expulse Yishmael or to sacrifice Yitzhak, he complied with what he perceived as G!d's voice.

Does that teach us something about the necessity to assume responsibility and distinguish between what we consider to be Divine voices; we cannot avoid being morally responsible for our deeds.
