דומני שהתורה אינה באה להאדיר דווקא את יעקב בעסקה זו או בגניבת הברכה, אלא להראות
שגם יעקב, כמו כל אבותינו היה בני אדם, לא
מלאך, שנזקק למסע ארוך כדי להפוך מ"יעקב" ל"ישר-אל".
