לבני משפחתנו, חברותינו וחברינו היקרים,
בשבת
הקרובה, אנחנו מתחילים "מבראשית". יש משהו מרגש בהתחלות. אמנם, אנחנו
מתחילים "כאילו" מחדש, אך התחלה זו נשענת על קריאות קודמות. ואולי יש
כאן אתגר רציני: לקרוא שוב ושוב את אותו הספר, ולהיות קשובים כל פעם מחדש למקום בו
הכתוב פוגש אותנו ומטבע הדברים, נגלה שהמלים אותן מלים, אבל עדיף שהמפגש איתם יהיה
חדש ומצמיח.
שתהיה
לכולנו שנה מחדשת ומצמיחה

Dear Family and Friends,
This Shabbat we start reading
"Bereishit"; it's a new start and every beginning is exciting and
moving.
Apparently, we are starting again
"from the beginning", but it also includes previous readings.
Maybe that's the challenge we are faced
with: to read and reread the same Book,
but at the same time to listen to the places inside us , where the Scripture
meets us.
We'll probably discover that the words
are the same, but hopefully the "encounter" between us and these
words are new and give us an opportunity of growing.
We wish you a year of renewal and growth
