Tomorrow we'll read, in the last Torah Section of Bamidbar, about the journeys of the Israelites in the desert.
Since we are all engaged in "journeys" and maybe our entire life could be described as one long "Journey", it may seem important and interesting before getting "somewhere", before getting close to a certain goal, to look back at the different stations of your journey, to reflect and consider if this was the best way, if at all it lead you to the point you wanted to be. Besides that, if we look at the calendar, we'll discover that in another 8 days, Tish'a be'Av will revive the tragedies of Jewish History; less than a week later, the 15th of Av is considered by our Sages a very festive day and even compared to Yom Kippur; that's maybe what characterizes every journey; there are ups and downs.
