The whole Book of Bereishit tells us stories about rivalry and hatred between brothers. Starting with Cain and Hevel; later Yishmael and Ytzhak, and tomorrow the twins Yaacov and Esav.
It seems that sometimes this rivalry and hatred can be explained by frustration and envy due to parental discrimination, sometimes it's harder to understand. Nevertheless, we saw last week that Yishmael and Yitzhak got together to bury Avraham. In another 2 weeks we'll see that, despite of the very severe envy experienced by Esav, there is reconciliation between the 2 twins.
Does that teach us that hatred, envy and rivalry can be transformed into love?
