Dear Family and Friends,
It seems that sometimes people disagree strongly, but nevertheless these disagreements have no influence on their personal relationship, since basically they respect each other and are able to tolerate other approaches to life. Intolerance may mask some emotional involvement or blind spots; that's maybe the difference of what our Masters call "Mahloket leShem Shamaym – for the Cause of Heaven"; in this case both sides are interested in Truth and "Mahloket loleShem Shamayim – not for the Cause of Heaven", in which case people are interested in being right, which is the difference between the disputes between Hillel and Shammai and Korach's dissidence.
