לבני משפחתנו, חברותינו וחברינו היקרים,
מחר, בתפילת
הנעילה, נאמר: "פתח לנו שער בעת נעילת שער".
אנחנו לא רוצים
שהשערים יינעלו. אנחנו עומדים בפני השער, רוצים להיכנס. האם יש מישהו או משהו
שעוצר בעדנו? ואם כן, מהו או מיהו הגורם העוצר? מי בעצם יכול להשאיר את השער פתוח?
ובאיזה שער מדובר? התלמוד מבחין בין "שערי ההיכל" (כאן על פני האדמה )
לבין "שערי שמים" (רחוק ונשגב).
אולי, אם נרשה
לעצמנו לדבר בלשון בני אדם, אנחנו בעצם מבקשים להרגיש שהשערים, האפשרויות לקשר,
להתקרבות, לפיוס, נשארים פתוחים.
שתהיה זו שנה של
שערים פתוחים לכולנו

Tomorrow,
during the prayer of Neila, we'll say: "פתח
לנו שער בעת נעילת שער".
"Open
a gate for us at the time of closing the
gates".
We don’t
want the gates to close; we stand before the gate and we would like to enter.
Is there something or somebody stopping us from entering? If so, who or what is
he or it?
Who is
able to keep the gate open? And what
kind of gate are we talking about?
The Talmud
makes a distinction between "the gates of the Sanctuary" (Here on
Earth) and "the gates of Heaven"(far away and Transcendent).
If we
may try to conceive this in human terminology: we ask that the gates, the
opportunity for relationships, for being close, for reconciliation should
remain open.
Let's
have a year of "open gates"
